Off to Phuket

November 6, 2012

No posts for the other two days in Bangkok. I really didn't feel like taking photos, nor do I feel like writing about it. (If I were this lazy in writing, why do I even blog?) Anyway, on Thursday we went to Bangkok Art and Culture Center, Jim Thompson's House, Shopped in Siam Area and then visited Madame Tussaud's. Friday we spent our day shopping til drop in Pratunam market and I practically finished all my money shopping for my little sister. On Saturday the three of us headed to Chaktuchak market to buy Thailand souvenirs for classmates and family.

We thought since it's a 'weekend market' and it's all under tents and not in a building, the prices in the market will be cheaper. BUT! Chaktuchak market is not cheaper than the other shopping place, practically the same price. It's just huge, wide and much more complete. You can buy practically anything here.

Anyway, Sunday's here time to fly to Phuket. Woke up at 4 am, got ready for 8 am flight. Oh, don't we all just love early morning flights? Goodbye Bangkok! And... Hello Phuket!

To go to Jim Thompson's house:
1. Take BTS Silom line and get down in the National Stadium station
2. Go out in Exit 1 and go to road Soi Kasemsan 2 and just walk straight all the way to the end
3. The museum will on the right hand side

To go to Madame Tussaud:
1. Take BTS Sukhumvit line and get down in Siam Central Station
2. Find Siam Discovery mall
3. Madame Tussaud is in the 6th Floor; ticket price is 800 Baht (10% OFF if you order online)

To go to Chaktuchak Market:
1. Take BTS Sukhumvit line and get down in Mo Chit station
2. Once you get out you'll see sign directing you to the market (If you can't see it, just follow the ocean of human, cause it's almost definite that they are going to the market also)
3. The market is HUGE! So make sure you know which area you want to shop in
